When SHH set out to renovate the existing café at Hatfield House in North London, their aim was to create a space that would better serve their ever increasing flow of visitors. The restaurant is now situated within the 19th Century coach house adjoining the estate’s new retail outlets. Completed in 2011, the Coach House was the winner of the best café or fast food venue in the 2012 Restaurant & Bar Design Awards.

The floors throughout the Coach House are natural slate, which is reflected in the black stained oak wall panels and the stunning cast aluminium spiral staircase from Albion Spirals.

Lined up neatly below them are Tom Dixon’s Offcut stools in untreated oak.
