This Giraffe in Bluewater, Kent is another colourful addition to the successful chain which has opened several new restaurants over the last year. Designed by the award winning Harrison who were also responsible for The Plough, one of the winners of the 2012 Restaurant & Bar Design Awards.
The cut out ceiling was executed by Interiors UK, whilst the linen effect lighting and suspended white orbs are by Into Lighting. The bright primary coloured palette of the interior reflects the fun and youthful vibe of the Giraffe brand. The bright red shade is frequently revisited throughout this Giraffe, with the red bar tiling sourced from CD Project Ceramics.
The rustic oak flooring from Havwoods perfectly reflects the wooden ceilings, keeping the space very natural to contrast with the cut off metal pipes installed as a feature wall. The existing support beams were painted red by Harrison.
The built in blue benches from Classic Furniture are the perfect pop of colour against the 1940’s Eames style black dining chairs. The wall of wooden crates and plants maintains the rustic-contemporary balance.
