Echo Entertainment’s expansion of Luke Nguyen’s popular ‘Fat Noodle‘ from Sydney to Brisbane, has the new venue situated within the historic former Queensland Government Treasury Building. The design creates an authentic and ‘heritage’ atmosphere which reflected the varied mix of Vietnamese, Chinese & Malay cuisines on offer.
Large lion heads play guard the double height, back lit mirror wall, sculpted by Rosemont’s & Co. Fat Noodle is both exciting and elegant, featuring stunning custom gold wallpaper from Anastasia Trading and beautiful papered screens from Rubelli and Crowson & Monkwell.
An abstract fire dragon light sculpture bursting from the entry corridor and diving into the kitchen entices diners in the door. The suspended custom chandelier of woks offer up-lighting to thousands of golden chopsticks which delicately dance overhead in the dining room. The two statement lighting feature were a collaboration between Luchetti Krelle’s design team and Armature Design Support.
The bamboo screen with deep red vinyl lettering was sourced from Bamboo Whitsunday.
