This bright new vegetarian restaurant in Vancouver designed by Evoke, is a fresh mix of antique pieces, contemporary furniture and bright wall art. The fitted shelving showcasing the bar’s wares were reclaimed by the designer.
The bar top and tables are reclaimed fir with white oil, custom design by Evoke and built by Millworker. The Hal Vitra bar stools in Pantone’s ‘Colour of the Year’, Emerald set off the tone of the space.
The flooring throughout Heirloom is brushed oak from Kentwood, and the clean white herringbone bar tiling is from Ann Sacks.
The Reed wall lighting and the timeless Deco Sumner pendants which hang above that bar are from Rejuvenation Lighting.
The walls a decorated with salvaged garden tools, which hang alongside the bright wall art that was painted by the designers at Evoke. Heirloom is a clean and simple space, but full of life and interest at the same time. The unusual and eye-catching decor is what makes the place so memorable.
Heirloom is an entry into the Restaurant & Bar Design Awards 12/13.
