The Fabulous Frozen Factory, designed by Jakob Gomez Studio, is based on a concept that includes the customer in the cryogenic preparation of ice cream.
The interior was conceptualised as a large ice cream machine in a warehouse, and integrates the graphic designs of MIUNA y Osvan y Tolosa. The design makes reference to games typically played at Mexican fairs, and introduces a playful element into shopping for ice cream.
All the equipment for the creation of the ice cream is on show, and the customer can see the four stages of ice cream being made. Using Kitchen Aid mixers and processors, painted in custom colours to match the graphics – reminiscent of the ice cream and candy colours of childhood – the space is clean, uncluttered, and industrial.
The use of Corian and stainless steel complete the industrial theme, and their use is both aesthetic and practical.
