Five50 restaurant in Las Vegas, designed by Rockwell Group, and owned by chef Shawn McClain, is a pizza restaurant inspired by New York pizzerias, but also influenced by the Las Vegas nightlife culture.
The name of the restaurant references the perfect temperature for cooking pizzas in a wood oven, and the design of both the space and the food relate to the pizza-making craft.
Customers at Five50 can choose to eat their pizza at a pizza counter, for a quick meal; in the main dining area; or in the semi-private rear dining room.
The designers chose a palette of natural finishes and materials, and LA-based studio and street art collective Cyrcle were commissioned to design a site-specific mural inspired by a New York City streetscape along the space’s back wall.
